Welcome to ErinALaCarte.com, a blog compiling my reviews of some of New York City’s thousands of restaurants and food establishments. I’ve been a foodie since birth, so much that my favorite cartoons revolved around animated food (pizza parties on the Ninja Turtles, the waffle scene in All Dogs Go To Heaven). Having grown up in the food-forward city of San Francisco, cooking, eating and trying new restaurants has forever been a passion. When I moved to New York City in 2008, I became overwhelmed yet thrilled by the opportunity to explore its restaurant scene, from hole in the wall family joints to world-renowned Michelin star restaurants. Blogging allows me to not only keep a diary of some of my favorite meals, but it also helps me chronicle my life’s best moments through my food adventures. Most importantly, though, I hope to be a resource for those who find navigating the food world of NYC intimidating – because, even as the food adventurer I am, I too can become exhausted at the thought of choosing a restaurant!
